As part of the cultural summer festival 2023, the Namaste Berlin 2023 will take place on August 5th in the Villa Elisabeth. The festival is organized by The Tagore Center – Embassy of India.
What can you expect at Namaste Berlin 2023?

From cross-genre contemporary music with dance performances to delicious Indian food, heartwarming yoga and wellness workshops to creative crafts and storytelling for kids, there’s something for everyone. KIRCHE STAGE:
Live performances & concers from India’s best emerging artists
12:30 pm: Performance by Dhoad Gypsies of Rajasthan
A multi-sensory show by a troupe of poets and performers encompassing music, dance and acrobatics – this is a spectacle that’s not to be missed.
4:30 pm: Concert – Anoushka Maskey
Anoushka Maskey is a Mumbai-based English & Hindi language singer-songwriter with a unique sound that blends folk music and storytelling. Her EP “C.E.A.S.E” was listed as #3 on the “10 Best EPs of 2020” by Rolling Stone India. Anoushka’s music has a warm and nostalgic feel, and she aims to continue making honest music that comes straight from the heart.
8:30 pm: Concert – Project Mishram
Project Mishram is a Progressive Carnatic fusion band from Bangalore, India. Mishram’s music has been characterised by a unique blend of western genres centered around intricacies of South Indian Classical Music.Their album ‘Meso’ which was long listed for ‘Best new artist’ and ‘Album of the year’ categories of the Grammys 2022.
VILLA STUDIOS:
12:30 pm: Sound Bath with Aditi Chengappa
Experience the extraordinary power of sound and its vibrations. Aditi will use an array of instruments tuned in healing frequencies to help clear our blockages, relieve stress and bring you to a balanced state of being.
The event will include: Discussion about the five koshas and the effect of sound on our mind and body, Yogic stretches, Sound therapy.
All you have to do is let the sound vibrations flow through your body and mind. For the best experience, wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring an eye mask or a small scarf to cover your eyes.
2 pm: Storytelling Hour: Panchtantra for Children (ages 3-12)
Attend a dramatic retelling of the classic Indian collection of interrelated animal fables and fairytales. The session will take place in German and is suitable for children aged 3-12.
4:30 pm: Yoga for children with Aditi Chengappa (ages 4-10)
Fun & easy yoga class for children aged 4-10
VILLA SCREENING ROOM:
3 pm: Film screening + virtual Q&A with cast: Gulmohar
Following the multi-generation Batra family, who are all set to move out of their 34-year-old family home, and how this shift in their lives is a rediscovery of the bonds that have held them together as a family with secrets and insecurities.
7 pm: Film screening: Satyaprem ki Katha
Satyaprem aka Sattu is a goofy, good-hearted, good for nothing boy in his early to mid-thirties who is eager to marry Katha but is also aware that the girl is way out of his league. She is the daughter of a well-known businessman. Sattu’s dreams unexpectedly come true when Katha’s parents come over to his house and ask for Sattu’s hand in marriage! From here on starts Sattu’s tryst to get Katha to fall in love with him and how in order to keep his marriage, he ends up discovering himself and proves to be a worthy husband.
