What can you expect at Dance in August?
Tanz im August calls for dealing with nature and sustainability. The question of how artists and especially international festivals are reacting to the urgency of the climate crisis is being carried into the city by means of an open call: right into the middle of Berlin’s parks. 22 short choreographies by Berlin artists were selected from numerous project proposals on the overarching theme “Dance and Ecology”. On August 19th, eight of the choreographies will be presented in Stadtpark Lichtenberg as part of the Kultursommerfestival Berlin 2023.
